Retakes
How does the retake work?
For each of the three midterms, you can elect to retake it the week before finals. The exam retake allows you to have a second chance at any question from the corresponding midterm. If your score improves, we take the new score. If it does not, we take the original.
If I’m happy with my midterm score, can I skip the retake?
Yes.
If I redo a question and do worse, does that affect my grade?
No. Not this semester anyway; future semesters will have a different formula.
Will I get the same exam?
All the questions on the exam are randomly selected from a pool of questions. You might get lucky and get a repeat, but most likely you are going to see a related but different question.
How much time will I get to take the retake?
Each one is for 50 minutes, like a standard midterm.
Can I redo all of the exams?
Yes. You will sign up for all three retakes.
Can I do all my exams in one session?
Sadly, no.
